About us

Introduction to Goalroball

Goalroball is a new sport in the world that was invented in 2003 AD by Dr. Majid Mollanadali Pishnamaz and was legally recognized in Iran as an indigenous team sport.

Goalroball A modern discipline in the world of sport

Goalroball is a modern team sport that was first developed during 2002–2003 by Dr. Majid Mollanadali Pishnamaz. In 2003 it received official recognition in Iran as a sport with its own independent identity and rulebook.

The core philosophy of Goalroball is to combine the joy of playing with a ball with precision passing and fair play, all within a unique set of regulations designed specifically for this game. The goalkeeper, attacking line and defensive players each have clearly defined roles in the tactical structure of the team, and collective coordination is considered the main key to success on the field.

  • Goalroball is designed without violent physical contact, and special rules are applied to protect the safety of players.
  • Matches are held as team competitions, and every goal scored can play a decisive role in the final result.
  • The main objective is to foster enjoyment, physical activity and team spirit among adolescents and young adults.

As Goalroball spreads through schools, universities and sports clubs, it is expected to be introduced and registered internationally as an officially recognized sport.
